We’ve put together our lodge handbook for use during your stay. It details all the information you should need, including suggestions of what to do while you’re here, where to go and what to see.
We hope you find this information useful. Let us know if you think there’s anything we can do to improve it. Happy reading and holiday planning. You can view or download the lodge handbook as a PDF, just click on the link below.
What to bring
We provide you with shampoo, shower gel and soap. We recommend you bring the following, especially if you’re going on hikes or tours.
- Reusable water bottle (single use plastic is not allowed in Corcovado).
- Portable torch (e.g., headtorch) if due back late or exploring in the dark
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellent
- Swimsuits
- Walking/hiking boots – closed toes
- Phone/device chargers and a spare portable battery if you have one
- Dry bag
Wet landings
Another great Drake Bay experience. Tours, including fishing, diving, snorkelling and visits to Corcovado National Park and Caño Island, involve a wet landing which means wading into the warm ocean a little when getting on or off a boat. We recommend using a dry bag and if you’re not a fan of going barefoot – water shoes or sandals which are also really useful if you’re exploring the local rivers.
